Hello :) Been awhile since i last posted anything here, because I've been so busy with work. Yes, Adrian actually got off his butt and shaked his moneymaker around Bukit Bintang for eight straight days.

Well, not quite actually. Remember how I was job hunting in Pyramid and all? I got hired by the good people of Padini Concept Store there woot woot! Specifically, at the Seed department. I actually started on the 7th. It'd be nice to show you some pics with captions like "me attending to lenglui" or something xD but you know laa, corporate demons don't like cameras in their den.

So anyways, we wear pink polo shirts with brown khakis and black leather shoes. How very gay! But can laa, no biggie. I work either from 10 to 10, 10 to 7 or 1 to 10, which is freaking tiring. No, not because the job is soo challenging or anything but apparently "the golden law of retail" is that...

Thou shall not let your sacred butt touch anything flat or comfortable.

Hell yeah of course i paraphrased. Okayy. It's not that I'm a difficult person to manage or anything, but one of the things which I really appreciated learning in college is basic concept of efficiency. If on rush hour weekends, no sitting, thats totally fine, but on weekdays, there is hardly anyone around dey. Besides, our section is deep into the store, its easy to see if customers are actually walking in. Once you do, stand, but if nobody, rest maa. Cause standing all day is hard, trust me. So yeah, quite dumb and inefficient because after standing all day, and by the time customers really swarm in (about 7pm) i'm hopelessly knackered already and from then on running on spare motivation.

Pfft. Try telling that to Moon (not joking) who is my manager or something. Oh well. There is no need to describe what a sales assistant does la right, very sure you'd get the drift. Since we have Men's Trend, Casual, and Work, as well as Women's Trend and Casual sections plus the fitting room, and there are five of us working at every one shift, we rotate sections often. Fitting room is pretty simple where you just collect clothes that didn't fit, fold em and dispatch them to the respective brand departments (PDI, P & Co etc). Men's section has all the preppy polo shirts and all the usual American high school quarterback kind of clean cutness stuff. And women's section...

Some of the guys said how lucky I was to get to work there because I can meet all the girls *cough* Well there just is one small problem... The clothes there are soo dated! Thats why only aunties go there gahhh! Like seriously dated, I won't reccomend any of my girl friends to get stuff from us man. There was this one time where a young lady tried on this expensive trench coat which gave her no shape at all. I discreetly wrinkled my nose and shook me head telling her to steer clear from it. Good that she got the message. Talking about no shape, our lady mannequins.. they really don't look lady like. Seriously. It has no boobs, the hips are abnormally large and curved out to the front and the posture is too leaned back. So what does it look like with a dress over it? A pregnant woman! Lol. Though I read you'd grow boobs when you are in fact, expecting. But of course, that's another curry recipe all together xD

So anyways, i'll be quitting by the month's end, citing boredom as me main reason. I mean i'm not trying to get a PhD in memorizing how many colours we have for this top, where exactly a particular piece is stored in the store room. Sho lazy and tired. The pay is not great either! RM 5 to the hour is decent but the opportunity cost for my lost leisure hours, it aint worth it.

I've been going to Nalanda Institute in Serdang quite often nowadays and i'm starting to develop a keen interest in learing more about Buddhism, so i enrolled in a weekend course which requires reading and everything. Kinda interesting to dive deeper into your respective faiths i think, learning more than the mere surface of it, like the discourses, history of events and such. Many things are written originally in Pali, and its cool to learn the unedited version. I'm usually impressed not by material things but wit and personality so i asked the headmaster why can't we learn just the English version because the Pali text is translated anyway. The he said that its like reading Romeo and Juliet : O Romeo Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?

With that you can really get the soul of the text. Imagine translating it to O Romeo Romeo, di manakah kamu Romeo?

Nice point there then! I'm sold :)

And after playing the KISS stage on guitar hero, i'd say that they're very very cute indeed. Like Gene calls himself a rock god and his stage persone is the "Demon", their songsd are actually very very cheesy man. This song that i really like "Rock and Roll all Nite", it sounds just like an 80s disco track la, if not for the guitar riffs. So yeah, you don't scare me one bit, even with your axe-bass and fire spititing stunts!

Sardines Swimming Strictly Setempat.

Yesterday when I went to Toys"R"Us to get me nephew a birthday present! :)
And so i picked out this remote-controlled car which was like the totally crazy kind. Not just go straight or back, mere left right. It can flip, rotate, vibrate, cook, spin, and even DRIFT!! O.O I swear i would have bought one for meself lol.

So i brought it to the customer service counter to test drive and see if its all as hyped up to be. Enjoy.

Adrian : "Kak, nak tolong testkan boleh?"

Kak : *angrily* "Tak boleh. Kena beli dulu baru bleh test."

Adrian : *sees lotsa kiddies and parents around. sabar* "Hah? Nak beli baru bleh check?"

Kak : *lazy and frustrated* "Yelah!"

Adrian : *Zen-mode* "Cubalah fikir skit. Apa logiknya kena beli baru test?"

Kak : *stoned*

Adrian : *evil smile, got a brilliant final word* "So biasa you kahwin dulu baru tengok muka suami ke kak?"

I was looking for one of my Friends season 8 vcd at home when i stumbled upon this dusty jewel case of this shaggy-haired middle aged dude. It was one of the many pirated music cds that we bought from the ss15 pasar malam at the time where downloads where unheard of. Must be 98. Anyways, the only words in front is : Lobo, which is the singer's name la.

I remember listening to it yonks and yonks ago. Typical cheesy love songs. I already know that. But somehow i still wanted to have a go with it. Give it a try.

'Lo and behold!! I went straight to track 3 called "Asian Moon". Lol. I'm sure you would agree that makes a brilliant title for those typical asian porn vids xD As if the songs in itselves are not silly enough, its actually has a karaoke video clip. As in, words at the bottom of the screen.

Shit. It's tempting me to sing along. What the heck, sing la. Lol.
And every video for every song is the same. This Lobo-lookalike (its pirated remember, and i dont think he even had music videos back then) with a acoustic guitar strumming along by the beach in scene one. In scene two, its him chasing and frolicking with this delicious asian girl. Scene three is a repeat of scene one and two. Mucho creativity!

Pfft. I said it was cheesy from the very start eh. But honestly, take nothing away from the songs man. I'm sure you would have heard of "You and me and a dog named Boo" ? Its really just so simple and fun. We can't be emooo-ing or Bullet for My Valentine-sy angst all the time! Not good for the soul.

Haha omg. It's really fun to listen and shrudder at its silly lyrics weyh! So yes, would totally recommend this to anyone. But downloading the song itself, you don't get the full vibe of it. So anybody wanting to pinjam do get in touch yes?

Oh yeah, saturday night i finally got to see people that i have not seen since... a long long time ago (to the tune of Your Mother Should Know). The guys never changed. Though Adrian used to have really silky long hair to like his shoulders, and he cut it orffffffffffffff! o.0 whyyy......

As for the girls..eyeliner woot woot! Its thorugh looking at them do i feel so old. Kinda like watching your own kids grow up? xD They look so womanly now! Sigh. But even though all the guys were eyeballing them, you'll never see them as that way you know? Especially christine. After the times that we trade verbal punches (razor sharp wit and sarcasm weyh), you can be the next doutzen kroes or miranda kerr and the guys go lining up, i know you gahgah.

And kevin has braces now. Cun laaa! Wonder what will happen if he stood muka terngaga in front a giant super sensitive magnet tho. It was kinda awkard at first, but once everybody geed up, t'was nice :)

The Usual.

Hello dear reader. This is fresh post after a long long time back , considering how exams wrapped 13 days ago. That equals holidayay! No no, this is not a post to tell you about my sights of Milanello or Paris or Redang. But still, lazy homey joe here thinks its boleh laa. I've been lounging around at home spending time with the guitar but just like the Inner Light, the more one knows, the less one really knows. Playing GTA Vice City is also nice. Around form 1 and 2 i was like totally into video games and stuff, then i lost interest. Just going back to the old groove and running and gunning is pretty fun. Definitely not as interested though. Casual gaming only. Playing futsal with the guys is always No.1 tho, just as long as people don't get too competitive and must-win. Chill Martin, we can always score again! The three Amigos at LimKokWing seems to have gone AWOL, so i'm gonna take a drive up there with Arvin and Dan real soon. And meeting up with college people should be fun, but Margie is now Teacher Margie so unless she kidnaps the whole class along ala Babel, its susah.

With all that said, I need a job! I want to work in F'n'B places so I went over to Wendy's and applied. Talk talk and the supervisor said i fitted well. EXCEPT when this came...

She : "You boleh potong rambut sikit tak? Panjang la dik."


Me : "Emm. Takpelah camtu. Thanks."

Hoho! That being said, the whole category is toast. Retail should do it! Karen said how even that's gonna be hard, especially the clean cut stores like Esprit and all the fratboy brands, Too true! If only Y and M was around here. Then i truly believe in the product that's being sold woot woot! "Attack of Literacy", and that yellow one with a pretty girl holding a Les Paul, all for RM20, now thats fashion, Guillermo.

Last Friday i got to see Suyin again, and thats always a "where you wanna go now" script exercise. I feel bad for my lameness and other glaring weaknesses :P
But still! Emotionally, alot of things go on during these meetings yeah? Lol.

I'm also thinking of ditching my plan of reading Law. Now thats bloody monumental! Will need lotsa time for that though. And i leave you with my form five picture of the whole moral projecy thing. Its not the official picture submitted, mind! But looking back and the dumby specs and the crappyor hair, and the "lucky" white tshirt tucked inside, ready to be deployed anytime for the bottlecap sessions.. I like how i look now? xD

My selected underdog for this tournament is Russia. I really really really like that Andrei Arshavin guy. His style, as a in the hole string puller :D Watching Fabregas play for Arsenal I realized how important that role can be. It's like a pelabuhan where you pass to him, he'll hold it and move around for you to get time to run into a space and he'll return it to you. Brilliant. So yes, he can go far man that dude! I wonder why this former Soviet people always produce good playmakers. There was Alexander Mostovoi of Celta de Vigo last time, then Yegor Titov and Dmitri Loskov in different eras for Spartak. But still. Arshavin!!

When I look at the Dutch fans sitting in their end of the stadium, dressed in full Oranje kit, and singing their national anthem out loud, i just wish that i could be more patriotic. As in i wish there was a way of which this country is run so that i can actually FEEL like oh yes, this is my tanah air and i'm proud of it and all, but no. Sometimes i just can't care less. But then once i heard a few aunties on the train presumably on the way/from Singapore comparing the Lion state with Malaysia. Blah blah blah our tap water here is dirtier than the water there, "ngoh tei ni tou ker yan mmm toung kare" as in our people here are not the same blah blah, over there the education system is much better glug glug glug and you know i actually felt angry that people were talking down our country. As in like sure, we suck in every thing that you compare but whatever pun we have our own strengths and charms (however scarce). Kinda like protecting your old senior friend or your old junky car. Just because she's old and ugly it doesn't mean she's not nice.Weird eh. So if our local government internet watchdoggies is reading this, i'll tell you that there are lotsa young people out there who would love to love this country, just that unlike Arshavin, you're not pulling the right strings man. If you did, imagine how beautiful things could be.

Hmm. I quite like that simple phrase. I'll say that i'm a salesman who believes in my product, but its all very difficult when nobody's buying. Saving their cash. As in if you don't pay for something and legally have it, then you can't derive the benefits that you would have got from it, say an iPod.

Spend that money. Get that product. If that thing fails you, chuck it out. Get a refund. Do something. Gently ask for more money from your parents. Then replace that product. Don't let that gap be. For once, don't follow Paul McCartney, DON'TLET IT BE!

I Woke Up Knowing It Will Be A Great Day, And She Proves Me Right :)

Weee. I've been bugging RouYi about it for so long and dear reader, yesterday i finally got to meet her!

In driplets and fragments, i'd say that watching the sweet-smelling one play that Bishi Bashi game, watching her trying to appreciate the greatness that is salmon sashimi, sharing a laugh on Dragonflyman and Hourglass (-.- wth man i like my movies deep, like Babel and Syrianna), listening to her talk over simple Malay food, the addition of another lovely letter to my collection, already equals mad mad tinglingness :p so what more that i realized something when the brain links these other three together :

1. Looking for my fruit lorry
2. Playing Virtua Striker
3. Bestest of all, ze moment shared on those comfy little butt landing zones in front of Yves Rocher (how to pronounce eh?). I shan't be telling you about what i realized tho. Its bitsy important!

Perchaps you can smell the similiarities with V V 's blogging style? I'm certainly a fan lol. Well, thanks for everything that you've brought for me. Like, everything and everything :)

And oh oh i went job hunting at sunway pyramid! But i realized the World War II American Thompson semi-automatic rifle cocks often when hair gets in the way ^.^"

Look at i found! Omg. Bloody embaressing man this pose. But back then in 06, when we took this picture, we all thought that we were like the business and all. From left : me, Danny, Clement, Jojo, Arvin, Mithran and Jack. Obviously we left out a few for this was impromptu. Threre should be Kevin, Martin, Izat and Izzul but yeah. Nobody ever truly express their love for each other, but its something like an Implied Term hoho. Each and everyone thought me something, fought with me over something, and also brought much much joy and laughter. Never forget :)

March!



Today me and dad talked football in the car. I told him how i think Wenger should actually leave Arsenal because in the last four seasons, development and progress has been slow. Maybe his methods or ability is maxed-out? Something is definitely wrong somewhere. Vieira was never replaced, and i made a valid point which he praised me for hee. Threre just isn't like an old experienced player to actually guide the squad. Man Yoo got the fossils of the local players back then like Giggsy, Chelsea got Makelele, Real Madrid's got Raul, Milan have got Nesta and Gattuso and Pirlo (two of me favs). If not captain material pown, at least a grown man man! Theo and Robin and Clichy... all good players but so big-eyed and naive man. Only human nature that when we play futsal at USJ 11 and this group of 13 year olds come into the cage, you're like, sub-consciously out-physical play them, so i guess it happens at the top level too and the Arsenal kids are suffering as a result. Remember when Vieira, Lauren, Ljungberg were around? Foul a Gunner and you have them chasing the ref, the fouler.. that was nice, it gives mental protection to the softer flair players like Pires and Reyes. Alott more was covered in the trip to Giant, and this song came on Lite FM and he suddenly turned the volume up to like 19 (normally its 10). I learnt that is was "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits. VERY I-JUST-WOKE-UP-VOCALS-BUT-MY-RIFFS-STILL-SMOKING-HOT kinda song. Something like Audioslave meets Jack White. So this is the Mark Knopfler that guy in the KTM was talking about! Dad told me waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back then lol, that unlike today where you have beer ads before a movie, the cinema of old would play rockish songs like this. He doesnt buy CDs anyway, so this is like Memory Lane Tripping i guess :)




And its nice that someone actually understand my motives. Not so extreme as to feel like a twin, but also not so extreme as to want to get your attention, something in between, something deep and

Emotions Replayed


Watched the Concert For George 2001 on YouTube again.
Eric Clapton gives a nervy speech, Anoushka Shankar leads the Indian classical music troupe on a piece called "Arpan" which means to give, Ravi then says..


"i feel George's presence here tonight. how can he not be here?"

Jeff Lynn then combined with Anoushka (she's hot!) on sitar to perform The Inner Light. Fast forward and Paul is singing All Things Must Pass, a song which i think is so sweet for the soul, and you can feel the emotions that night, even when i'm watching it here in Malaysia on a 15inch monitor.
Eric Clapton then does While My Guitar Gently Weeps, another song that just grows on you with the raunchy guitar riff and the sad message of the song... Thats what i call bittersweet. Why doesnt he do the solo i dont know. And and Something! The song that inspired me to pick up ze instrument. Ringo comes out with Photograph and at this point, the lyrics is so T.T

Fastforward to the end of the concert.. Joe Brown comes on with a cute little ukelele and does I'll See You in My Dreams, with flower petals acting as confetti. Woah. Reason why i'm boring you with this is that, quite plainly, i wish i will live a life like George. Not Beatlemania, but the simplicity of mind. I'm not a plain fanatic like how teenage girls go gaga over Jason Castro but I look up to George. I really do. Granted, his Material World and Impermanence ideas are actually from Hindhuism (fyi he recorded Gopala Krishna..sweet vocals man) but its so real and deep. He truly embraced the spirit of it all and thats awesome because for somebody of his stature can easily get girl/drug/car/ but nope he didnt. And when his wife, Patti Boyd fell in love with his close friend Eric Clapton, instead of chopping Slowhand up, he decided that the love among them three was so strong that he was okay in the end, and continued to be close to Eric. This is then one of the reasons why i'm into THAT BAND and THOSE MEMBERS so much. You actually have a story and history.

SuYin told me what her friend told her so i'll tell you so that you can tell your friend lol -.-' like.. when i die, will there be people celebrating my life and raise their guitars for a toast to their beautiful friend?

And with my closing words.. If i could choose, metaphorically speaking la okay. As a light bulb, i wanna shine twice as bright and wouldnt mind blowing up in half the original duration as long as i know its a life less ordinary. When i mean shine, its not to be like...aiyah faham faham la. And when i mean ordinary its like the usual study hard, good grades, good job,city life,9-5 in office,stuck in traffic,save money,climb the corporate ladder,and worry about finances and chasing the bigger pie, bigger car,bigger house,and work work work my precious time away. That doesnt mean a dropout or borderline E grades in exams and staying at home watching porn, but just abit different. Nobody seems to have this view. That is why, for college people reading this, you may realize, and for friends and girlfriends ( lol okay that aint plural :p ), i happen to have a phrase from the song Strawberry Fields Forever stickered onto my Contract textbook.

Here Come The Sun Little Darling.

Good day, greetings, and hellooo you! First blog, first post :D
Now that i've started typing, the sudden realization has appeared from within that this blog is going to turn out to be a sad undersupported..thing. Reminds me of Louise's column in FourFourTwo that goes something like this.

So yeah. Hoepfully it doesn't to out that way yes. Anyhoos, this is where all me messy fragments of random and sometimes deep thoughts are pieced up together. A muse there, an epiphany here, new stuff learned, and quotes from yours truly or direct and indirect teachers, blended and left to Net-dry.. hopefully in time to come it can be ascertained if I actually grew and developed! Or gone fishing - mentally xD

I had me Contract Law exam today. All nine months long i never really warmed to contract. Its tedious and dry and very "sue me i sue you" over minor things really. But ding ding. Although i'm nowhere near Kimberley in terms of effort, make-up selection and height, i hang around. So.. it wasn't hard per se, nor was it easy (bloody time!) but as always, hope for the best. Had the rest of the day off, self-rewarded muahaha. Guitar strings cost RM 30! And they rust after two months celaka -.- And guess whose finger bled when changing them? :p

I can see why people spend so much time blogging. Can be pretty darn addictive yes! Hopefully i can stick to it, for it can be pretty beneficial maa. Learn to express your feelings in a composed manner, learn to submerge in your thoughts and discover your inner feelings, and good exercise in remembering how to spell shit properly! Lol. Much more to tell you in the future, so do come backkk.
